These Mucks are the perfect gardening shoe. They are easy to slip on and off. They are comfortable. And they can be cleaned with your nozzle and hose. I've had them a few weeks and worn them several times. So far, so good...
I use these shoes as my only shoes. I have a smallholding & a campsite and use them daily for all of my chores outside. I then have another pair to use while cleaning the toilet/shower buildings that aren't covered in muck. They totally do the job year round - all weather & don't add any weight to my feet & legs (like boots do) as I am on my feet all day every day. The only negative is that I have to replace about 2 pairs a year since the rear heal seems to be just glued on or something and it eventually loses it's adhesion and just starts flapping around. Possibly fixable but by that time they are also quite worn out so I just replace them with another pair. They do the job and I have tried about a dozen types of boots/shoes from various companies.
At last a Muck Boot shoe with a decent Sole. The soles on the other shoes wear smooth too quickly leaving no grip. They are the most comfortable outdoor / gardening shoe. Wear them every day.
This shoe is as advertised, I just don't think that it is the shoe for me. I work in a brewery and need something light, waterproof and skid proof. The shoe is definitely waterproof, but it's heavier than I'd like and I feel like I'm slipping around a little more than I usually do. Also, it doesn't come in half sizes so I had to get a 12 instead of 11.5. This might account for why the shoe feels heavy because it isn't as snug of a fit as I usually get. I think this would be a good outdoor shoe, just not perfect for working on wet slick surfaces.
Had the trainer type before, they lasted about 9 months but are so comfortable, and are now discontinued. These are a bit less flexible so hopefully they will last longer. Not initially as comfortable around the top but getting better with time. The others failed around the toe area due to creases, these look less susceptible so expecting them to last longer. Comfortable to wear all day.
