I ordered these because I loved how they looked. I needed a pair of boots for the in between cold fall rainy seasons in Yukon, Canada. I love how they are completely waterproof and come with reflective tabs in the back. They’re not as heavy as others have mentioned and I feel like my Timberlands were even heavier. I first ordered a size bigger as I have wide feet, but then had to buy my regular size because the first pair was too big. So, I guess it fits true to size. At first, due to the mesh lining it was aggravating my heel but over time I noticed it less. I wished there were a few more string anchor points as it seems not very secure. Overall, the boot does what I wanted it to, wear it in muddy areas, no matter the weather, and look great!

I read a lot about these online before i purchased them. For those interested there are a number of reviews on them as they are a kind of unique in a waterproof hiking boot. They have exceeded my expectations so far for comfort as some ppl noted that they were a heavy hiking boot, and had some discomfort at the ankle. I haven't had any ankle issues and am finding the weight ok, although heavier than a leather boot. I give them a 4 not 5 as they do not come in half sizes. I am a solid 7.5 and ordered the 8. I found it roomy in the toe width, but could tell the 7 would be too short. I added currex hiking insoles to them and they then fit much more snugly. I will note that the lace part is not all that waterproof. It's ok for walking in grass and small splashes of water. But it will soak thru in deeper water or if ur dog stands over ur foot and drips all over you. ;)
I actually wish i could find a safety rated boot like this now.

Very happy with this purchase

I bought these on the reccomendation of friends to use for exploring caves. I have only used them once for this purpose but I did two short hikes in them before heading underground.

They are very different from any other boots I've worn. The toe box is a bit wide but is OK with thick smart wool socks. In the caving environment water does get in the boot when walking in deep streams or pools of water. This was not a problem because I'm used to wet feet in a cave. I had to adapt some of my climbing techniques because of the thickness of the toe box of the boots. I also found that the boots caused a bit of rub in the ankle area. Overall, I think once I adjust my some of my techniques I will like the boots. They were much easier to clean after the trip and I think they will hold up better than my old hiking boots.
My initial outing with them was good.

I purchased these boots on the 26th of March, and was told the boots would arrive on the 6th of April, and in the end they ended up arriving on the 16th of April. This is my only complaint.
I love how the boots feel , they are very sturdy, I appreciate the quality and materials used to create these boots .
