Insoles, insocks, sockliners, footbed insert. It may have many names, but this material plays a key part in the relationship between your foot and your footwear.
Typically your insole plays several roles:
Comfort
Your removable insole provides a comfort layer between you and the boot.
Cushioning
Working in harmony with your foot and the boot, the insole provides a cushioning layer.
Support
Dependent on the insole material, your insole will help support and cradle your foot.
Here at Muck Boots we use two types of insoles.
Our standard insole is made from a die cut and shaped EVA foam to gently cushion and support your foot. The insole forefoot is perforated to encourage airflow and also benefits from a bioDEWIX™ Dry antimicrobial top cover and NZYM™ for odour control and moisture management.
We have recently introduced a new, dual density comfort insole. Constructed from a moulded PU its multidirectional flex-grooves aid comfort and allows the insole to follow the natural contours and movement of your foot during motion. The grooves also help channel air around the foot to help maintain a comfortable environment.
For best in class comfort the insole also has a memory foam style topper, this is also finished with a bioDEWIX™ Dry antimicrobial top cover and NZYM™ for odour control and moisture management.
Working in combination with the other components of the boot and your natural mechanics, our class leading insoles ensure our boots remain comfortable all day, every day.
